Nylon cordsAmong reinforcement materials UCP supplies both dipped and non-dipped Nylon 6 cords.
Non-dipped Nylon 6 greige fabric.
Russian plants co-operating with UCP have recently changed their weaving process. Old-fashioned shuttle looms are now being replaced by projectile looms. These looms are preferred for cord distribution homogeneity, which is essential in radial passenger tires, especially with monoply. Besides, the new looms have the following advantages:
- The winding tension of the fabric is kept constant from beginning to end.
- The warp accumulation and higher density, seen in the selvedges on shuttle looms, is no longer a problem.

Dipped Nylon 6 cord fabric.
Russian technology has a particularity to dip the fabric at the tire manufacturing unit and not at the yarn conversion plant Thus in order to satisfy their clients UCP has decided to toll caprolactam in China and supply Dipped Cords out of Chinese plants, namely from Wuxi, Yangzhou (Jiangsu province), and Cixi (Zhejiang). The quality of those plants is widely recognized in Southeast Asia and now is under approval procedure in Europe. Types usually available are as follows:
- denier 840 D1, denier 840 D2
- denier 1260 D2, denier 1260 D3
- denier 1680 D2
